January 7	Adam flies to Illinois. It will be his first time back in 13 years. At the airport he is told that his ticket is invalid and he is forced to purchase another one. Emergency rates are charged and he has to spend all the money he has saved to buy it. His uncle Dave, who was supposed to pick him up from the airport, totalled his car on the day before. So he came with Adam's Uncle Dan but they drove to the wrong airport! Is this a sign from God that Adam should have stayed at home? Or is it just another typical day in the life of Adam Wiemers?
February	Jennifer and Adam meet for the first time at the North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Rockford, IL. They get to know each other by spending time with the same circle of friends. They soon become friends as well.
March 30	Tyler, Adam's friend from Idaho (who moved to California), gets married. He called earlier to ask Adam to be in his wedding and Adam was ecstatic at the prospect. Unfortunately, mostly due to the airport incident, he did not have the funds to fly out there. Disappointed, he had to tell Tyler that he could not make it. Much to his surprise and joy Tyler's in-laws paid for the ticket! Adam was most appreciative for this act of kindness.
April	Adam begins to like Jennifer but fights the emotion. He would like to one day be able to serve Jehovah at Bethel and feels like a relationship would hinder him from accomplishing these goals.
May	This was a month that would change Adam's life forever. Though he tried to ignore and deny the feelings he had for Jennifer, that was all about to change. On the night of May 13th he had a dream. In this dream Jehovah was bringing about the end of this system at Armageddon. Though very frightened he was with Jennifer and together they survived into the paradise. Upon awaking Adam realised how much she really meant to him and decided to stop fighting his emotions and to take a chance and get to know her better. But he had no idea how she felt about him... Armed with this new perspective Adam begins to see their relationship differently and tries to discern whether Jennifer has any interest in him. On May 23, at the Young at Heart Festival (a local, annual fair) Adam realises (thru not to subtle suggestions from Jennifer :) ) that she's interested too! Once they both discovered that they shared an interest in one another it was then that their relationship began to accelerate very quickly.
June	June was a whirlwind of activity! On the 7th Adam, Jennifer and all her siblings went on a long ride on a popular bike trail in Wisconsin. On the 11th they went to see "Jurasic Park II: The Lost World" and had their picture taken in a photo booth in the mall. Adam and Jennifer were spending a lot of time together and their relationship was growing at exponential rates. Though they were both aware of their feelings for each other they had never openly acknowledged this or even had a conversation about it. This concerned Adam because they were definitely headed somewhere but neither of them were really in control of the situation. It was more like they were just following wherever their relationship took them. Adam decided that this issue had to be confronted and they had to grab the bull by the horns, as it were, and take control of the path their lives were taking. Adam decided to invite Jennifer and her sister out to dinner at Tumbleweed. His plan was to tell Jennifer how he felt about her and find out for sure if she felt the same way. If she did then he could develop a plan of action. If she didn't then he needed to pour a cold glass of water on his head and forget about the whole thing! The big night came. Adam worried about it all day at work and went over in his head a thousand times what he was going to say. He was so nervous! But it was a memorable event, memorable enough that 10 months later he would propose to her in the same restaurant.
July	On the 4th of July weekend Adam went with Jennifer, her mom and two sisters up to Northern Wisconsin for a river rafting trip. It was a lot of fun. Jennifer and Adam arranged it so they could be in the same raft together on each trip down the river (much to the chagrin of the others who wanted to rotate rafting partners! :) ). On one occasion Jennifer's mom and sister overturned in their raft at the bottom of a short waterfall and got trapped by a slight undertow. Jennifer and Adam had to balance themselves in their raft and paddle in perfect unison so that they could fight their way upstream against the whitewater to assist them. When they were finished Adam told Jennifer "Hey, you and I make a great team!". Unbeknownst to him it would prove to be a prophetically symbolic utterance! :) On the 11th Jennifer's grandfather had his house reroofed. Adam joined her family in the event though it is doubtful whether he was much assistance!
August	In August Jennifer received notification from the society that she was approved as a regular pioneer. On the 14th Adam's mom flew in from Oregon and they had a get together at Dan and Suzannes (his aunt and uncle). And on the 27th Adam turned 21 years old!
September thru December	In September Adam was hired at UPS and his dad came to visit. After that nothing very memorable happened (according to the official records).
