The doctor examined her and said she was certainly pregnant. Far enough along that she could already hear a heartbeat. She scheduled an ultrasound appointment for 2 days later.

The ultrasound technician said the baby was full of energy. It was moving, flailing and otherwise being very active throughout the entire process. The technician turned the monitor so Jennifer could watch during the procedure. She said either it just didn't like the pressure of the tool they use on it or we're gonna have one active kid! She also informed us that Jennifer is approximately 16 weeks along and her due date is set at March 13th. They asked us if we would like to know the baby's gender and we declined (again). It's just so much more exciting that way, isn't it?

As far as names go Jennifer decided she doesn't really like the name Kent (which is what Sadie would have been named if she had been a boy). So we have to come up with a new boy name. As far as girl names go Jennifer likes the name Marryn (not sure about the spelling yet) which was my Grandpa Wiemers' grandmother's name. But she's undecided because she doesn't like that name quite as much as she likes the name Sadie. I told that's ok because we probably wouldn't like her as much as we do Sadie. (ha ha! just kidding!)
